It has been launched in September 2006, Virtual Laguna Beach (VLB) has quickly become one of the most successful stand-alone virtual worlds ever created with over 350,000 users registering in the first three months. Electric Sheep partnered with MTV and Makena Technologies (There.com) to bring VLB to life and this partnership has continued through the Virtual Hills, an extension of VLB devoted to the show by the same name which launched in January 2007.

They have some great and official names in this place set up : Pepsi, Cingular, and Proctor and Gamble. Each sponsorship campaign took advantage of the multitude of opportunities afforded by a thriving virtual world, redefining the boundaries of interactive marketing.

You can pay with your own Lindens, and your pizza will be delivered at your first-life home!Amazing. …  Only for USA this moment….

So, you don’t have to go from your computer now to order a pizza. Just stay on Second life and they bring to to your own home. Oh, there are 60.000 pizza’s you can order…pfff

Second Life is amazing popular and the Brazilians wants their own way to this virtual world. There is only 1 problem. The whole world is in English, and not ALL Brazilians understand Engels, and also speak. But there is a solution : Kaizer games and Brasil Telecom’s got a solution : A SL version from Portugal, language and everything has been translated! Second Life Brasil is aiming for 2 million residents in 1 year time. So you better join!

Second Life Brasil is also from the producers of Linden Lab. So, i think it will be also possible to change dollars for Linden Dollars. And even the tutorials will all be translated in their own language.

The official launch of Second Life Brasil is on 23 April, but it’s allready possible to download this version from the website of Second Life.

To be precise, Second Life is very polular in Brazil, so check this YouTube movie out (If you can understand it..)
